Your account and recovery

We store your name, username, optional bio, optional mobile number, and the email address you provide for recovery. Firebase Authentication handles passwords for all accounts. Older accounts without a recovery email can sign in with their existing password and add an email in Settings. The email you save becomes your recovery address. We do not send a separate verification email when you save it; anyone with access to that inbox could use a reset link to change your password. SMS recovery is not currently available. Passwords cannot be retrieved or sent to you, including by staff.

Questions and anonymity

We store submitted messages, answers, and linked sending accounts. Anonymous means the recipient cannot see which registered account sent a question. Administrators can review that account for moderation. An account is required to send a new question. Previously submitted guest messages remain in inboxes without a linked sender account.

Moderation

Administrators can review submitted messages, registered sender and recipient accounts, reports, and moderation actions to operate the service and respond to abuse. Signed-in senders may be blocked by recipients. Older guest messages have no account to block by username.

Sessions and security

A secure session cookie keeps you signed in. We store limited hashed request information to reduce spam and login abuse. Recovery links expire and can be used only once; completing a reset signs out older sessions. Do not share private details in questions or answers.

Control and deletion

You can report or delete individual messages from your inbox and delete your account from Settings. Account deletion removes received messages and your profile; messages you sent may remain without an account link. We retain reports and moderation records as needed for security and legal reasons.

Ads and performance

Google AdSense may display automatic ads across the site and use cookies or similar technology to measure and personalize them. Sponsored offer links open an external site. Vercel Speed Insights measures real visitor page performance, including Core Web Vitals, to help us improve the website.
