Hushly FAQ

Do I need an account to ask a question?

Yes. Create an account or log in when you open your friend’s link. After signing in, you return to their question page. You can choose to ask anonymously if they allow it.

Can the recipient see who sent an anonymous question?

No. The recipient sees it as anonymous. Administrators can see the sender’s username for moderation.

Can I stop anonymous messages?

Yes. Turn off “Allow anonymous messages” in Settings. Then senders’ usernames are shown to you. An account is always required to ask. You can also report or delete a message from your inbox and block signed-in accounts.

How do I put my link on an Instagram Story?

Use the Share page to make a Story card and copy its link. Post the image to your Story, then add Instagram’s Link sticker with the copied URL. An image alone does not carry a clickable link.

Will my chosen Story question appear on the visitor’s page?

Yes. The selected prompt is included in the link and shown above the message box. If someone uses an older link, they see “Ask me anything.”

How do I recover my account?

Enter an email you can access during signup or save one in Settings. If you forget your password, tap “Forgot password?” and open the email link to choose a new password. No code entry or separate email confirmation is needed. Your old password cannot be sent to you because Hushly stores only its hash. A mobile number may be saved, but SMS recovery is not available yet.

How do I delete my account or questions?

Use your inbox controls to hide or delete individual questions. Open Settings to delete your account. See Privacy for details about data handling.
